Shimano 26 Dialuna Inshore: Double-X Boat Rods with a Zoom Model
Ever been on a boat chasing seabass, Spanish mackerel (sawara) or black bream (kurodai) and wished you had a slightly different rod length for the situation? Switching rods on a small boat is a hassle. The Shimano 26 Dialuna Inshore — a full model change from the Dialuna BS — is built for exactly this inshore boat game, covering seabass, sawara, black bream, flatfish and pelagics. There are eight models: five spinning and three baitcasting.
Key features
- Double-X construction. Spiral X resists twisting and crushing for efficient power transfer when casting and fighting; Hi-Power X further boosts torsional rigidity and stops the wobble and power loss slim rods can suffer. Together they deliver lightness and power.
- Carbon monocoque grip (round type). A new, light, hollow grip with high vibration transmission, so you feel more of what happens underwater.
- Silky Zoom on the S66-76M. Zoom the rod between 6’6” and 7’6” — about 30 cm — in an instant, so one rod covers several roles.

Minagiman’s take
Inshore boat fishing changes fast — one moment you are casting to a boil, the next you are working a structure up close. A zoom rod that switches length in a second is a genuinely useful idea, and the Double-X blank keeps the series light without losing power. Cover the whole inshore game with one or two Dialuna models.
